I am Jean-Claude Ethe Toke, Serving in City of Peace Church of Christ in Douala. I am married to sister Mary Ethe. She is a secondary teacher by profession. The Douala Town Church of Christ meets at City of Peace and has grown to average 110 in attendance every Sunday. We also have up to 50 children and Bible classes for everyone. We just erected a new building on our old site. We regularly gather to pray in one another’s homes in groups of 2-10 and are strengthened by this practice.

avenir and Lindita pellumbi
I am Avenir “Niri” Pellumbi, married to Lindita Pellumbi. I was born on May 18, 1985 in Korca, Albania. Lindita was born on March 1, 1986 in Librazhd, Albania. We have two children. A daughter, Gloria, born on February 23, 2012 and a son, Adriel, born on February 8, 2016.
After the fall of Communism in Albania in 1992, Bibles were distributed in the southeastern part of the nation. My family and I joined many other people going from home to home to read the Scripture in 1996. In 1997 at the age of 12, I was immersed into Christ. Lindita was baptized in 2006.
I finished university in 2008 with a Masters Degree in Linguistics and Literature. Lindita received an undergraduate degree in Journalism from Elbasan University in 2007.
In August of 2008, we both began our studies at the Albanian International Bible Institute (AIBI) and graduated in December of 2009. AIBI was part of the Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, Texas. We worked as staff of AIBI until the summer of 2013. At that point I directed and taught the school for one year.
In the summer of 2014 we began to focus full-time on evangelizing and church planting in the region of Librazhd, Albania. This area has a total population of 82, 000 people. This region of Albania is extremely poor, isolated and has a dominating Muslim culture (more than 90% of population). Librazhd Church of Christ meets in the city of Librazhd, and we have home to home meetings and Bible Studies in the villages of Librazhd.
In our ministry we look for ways to connect with the lost and help them develop a desire in their lives to be restored to the Lord. Our strategy is to follow the model that is introduced to us in the New Testament. We think that using the approach of the 1st century church will allow us to plant the Gospel and study the Bible person to person, family to family and house to house.
